Effective 21 October 2026
Daemi is an app for tasks, habits and the emails you need to answer. It is built so that your data stays yours: everything you put into Daemi is stored on your phone, and nothing of it is sent to us. This policy explains the few things that do leave your phone, when, and why.
Daemi is made by Raman Pazdniakou, Warsaw, Poland (“we”). Questions about this policy or your data: hello@daemi.app.
Your tasks, steps, habits and their history, spaces, pages, schedule, places, the emails Daemi tracks for you, and your settings are stored only on your device. Daemi needs no account. We have no copy of this data and cannot see it.
Daemi uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to learn which features are used and to fix crashes. They receive events such as “a task was created” or “a screen was opened”, technical details (device model, Android version, app version, an app-instance identifier, approximate country) and crash traces. They never receive what you write: no task titles, notes, space names, emails or places. Both are on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Privacy. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
If you connect Google Drive, Daemi saves backup files of your data to your Drive, with access only to the files Daemi itself creates. We never receive them. You can delete them in your Drive at any time.
If you connect a mailbox, Daemi talks directly from your phone to your mail provider (by IMAP and SMTP, or through Microsoft sign-in for Outlook). Your password or sign-in token is stored encrypted on your phone. Emails are downloaded to your phone only; we never receive them.
When you dictate a task, Daemi uses your phone’s speech-recognition service (for example, Google’s), which processes the audio under its provider’s terms. Daemi does not record or keep audio.
When you give a task a place, the address search uses Android’s built-in geocoder (provided by Google). “My location” reads your position once, when you tap it. A reminder near a place uses Android’s geofencing, which needs location access “all the time”; it is asked for only if you turn such a reminder on, and Android checks only the places of your reminders. Your location is processed on your phone and is never sent to us.
If you enter your own OpenAI API key and ask Daemi to break a task into steps, that task’s title is sent to OpenAI under your key and your agreement with OpenAI.
If you invite an AI agent (or, later, another person) into a space, that space is kept in step through our relay at hub.daemi.app, run on Cloudflare. Everything you share is end-to-end encrypted with a key that is created on your phone and is never given to us: the relay stores and passes on only encrypted data, and cannot read it. The relay keeps the encrypted changes of the shared space, a hashed access token per member, and the times of changes; Cloudflare processes IP addresses to deliver them.
An agent runs on your own computer and receives the content of the spaces it is invited to. What it does there — and which AI provider it uses (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) — is set up by you on that computer and governed by those providers’ terms. You can remove an agent at any time in the space’s Members.
If you leave your email on daemi.app to test Daemi, we keep it to invite you to testing on Google Play and to tell you about the test. We don’t use it for anything else and don’t give it to anyone. It is stored on Cloudflare; write to hello@daemi.app and we will delete it.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or build profiles of you. We do not use your content to train AI.
Data on your phone stays until you delete it or remove the app. Backups stay in your Google Drive until you delete them. The encrypted data of a shared space stays on the relay while the space is shared; write to us and we will delete it. Firebase keeps analytics and crash data for the periods described by Google.
You can see, export, correct and delete your data in the app itself, as it is on your phone. For anything we or our relay hold — encrypted shared-space data — you may ask us for access or deletion at hello@daemi.app. If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the rights given by the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Passwords and keys are kept in Android’s encrypted storage; shared spaces are end-to-end encrypted; you can lock Daemi with your fingerprint and hide widgets’ contents on a locked phone.
Daemi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date; for important changes we will tell you in the app.
